The conference was hosted by China Unicom, The National Engineering Research Center for E-Learning of Central China Normal University and The National Engineering Laboratory for Educational Big Data, and co-organized by NetDragon, China Information Communication Technologies Group Corporation and Huawei Technologies Co., Ltd.
Mr. Jiang, one of the leading physics teachers in the country was beamed from ARHT’s capture studio in Fuzhou (Capture Site) to No. 1 Middle School in Wuhan, ranked as one of the top middle schools in the province (Display site). Using ARHT’s holographic telepresence technology, Mr. Jiang hosted a class of 20 students on “The Wonderful Journey of Light and Communication.” The interaction between teacher and students was seamless over the high-bandwidth, low-latency 5G network. In addition to the 20 students attending the class, over 300 guests were in the audience at the event observing the product case.
